Calendar of Club events for the year 2010

Friday, January 8th, 2010 The year 2010 maks the 75th year since the founding of the British United Services Club of Los Angeles. At this meeting, the President, The Honorary Secretary, the Honorary Treasurer, and Jr. ROTC Chairman will give reports of the previous year. Names for 2010 Club officers will be proposed and voted upon.

President's Inaugural Dinner

Friday, February 19th, 2010 Introduction of the new Club President and the Executive Committee to the members. Acknowledgment of the work performed by the immediate past President and his committee.

|
Friday, March 19th, 2010 Dinner honoring the winning Junior ROTC High School. Dinner guests are the cadet commanders of the winning school and their instructors, and the cadet commanders and instructors of the second and third place schools.
|
|
|
|
Friday, April 16th, 2010 Tradionally, a night to which the ladies were invited to the mess. As the club has since 1988 had lady members, this night now is reserved for the introduction of spouses to the mess and its traditions.

|
Friday, May 21st, 2010 On this night, the Vice President chairs the evening by hosting and acknowledging past Vice Presidents of the Club.

|
Friday, June 18th, 2010 Traditionally a night at which members of the armies of Great Britain, the United States and other allied countries are honored.
|
|
|
|
Friday, July 16th, 2010 On this night, Past Presidents of the Club are honored and remembered for their leadership over the past 75 years.

|
Friday, September 17th, 2010 Air Force Night honors members of the Royal Air Forces of Great Britain and the Commonwealth and aviation members of the United States Armed Services.

|
|
Friday, October 15th, 2010 On this evening, we honor members of the Royal Navy and all other allied Navies, including members of the Merchant Navy who are put in harms way.

Annual Ball - 75th Anniversary

Saturday, November 13th, 2010 The Annual Ball this year marks the Club's 75th Anniversary. All members are urged to attend and bring guests to make this an outstanding event.

Friday, December 10th, 2010 On this evening the Club hosts its family members at a turkey dinner and offers entertainment which includes the traditional singing of Christmas carols and songs. (Terrace Room)
